Losing a cousin means losing one of your earliest friends who you knew you loved before being able to say it. I grew up in awe of my older cousin Courtney who could put together LEGO sets and get the chimneys on his model trains to blow smoke.

Courtney was 4 years older than me, so growing up I never knew a world without him in it. For the first time in my life I will have to live in a world where he is not here with me physically, only alive in my memories.

I love Courtney, and will miss hearing him tell the story of my bat mitzvah from his perspective, and the luck we got going to second city only to have the actors do a skit about being half Indian. I am thankful to have so many amazing memories with him.

Love you more than you loved twitter ❤️#loveforcourtney
